Summer in Jostedalen

This summer I just had one week of vacation. Starting out a Friday afternoon after work (a huge mistake of course) I started driving towards Stryn, where I where going to pick up ”hobo” Inga at the bus station. I took me 12.5 hours, 4 ferries and two x15min stops to sleep before I finally arrived. We put up a tent and slept a few hours before it was time to check out the climbing routes at Bølgen and Beachen in Stryn. During three days we slept under the ”open” sky (under the rock roof at Beachen that is), did a lot of climbing and hiked Skåla, the longest uphill in Norway. The week-end was a great test for me and Inga as we now leave for 2 moths of sharing a van Down Under. And we passed it…luckily :D

Inga went back to Trondheim Monday evening, and I continued to Jostedalen, picking up Sivert along the way. We had a couple of great hiking days, Siri Bente took me glacier walking/”ice climbing” and I finished the week off with a real ”bygdefest” with my new Brazilian friend, Ana Luiza.
